Flash Focus: 绿帽社Expert on Doomsday Glacier and Zombie Ice

Antarctica's "doomsday glacier" has been making headlines for its rapid melting, which could lead to large rises in sea levels much earlier than experts originally observed. In addition, "zombie ice" has been reported in Greenland, which unfortunately is not a "Game of Thrones" reference, but more rapidly melting ice sheets that will impact sea levels. To find out more about these headlines related to the climate, we reached out to Cameron Lee, assistant professor in the Department of Geography.

10 Questions With Roseann 鈥楥hic鈥 Canfora, Professional-in-Residence, May 4 Survivor

Roseann 鈥淐hic鈥 Canfora, Ph.D., is a Professional-in-Residence at 绿帽社 in the School of Media and Journalism, part of the College of Communication and Information. Prior to teaching at Kent State, Canfora served as the chief communications officer for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District and taught high school journalism and speech. Canfora was also a student at Kent State, starting in 1968, and is a survivor of the May 4, 1970, shootings at Kent State. She graduated with her master鈥檚 in journalism and public relations and bachelor鈥檚 in English/speech. She is heavily involved in activism as well.
