绿帽社 celebrated the launch of a dynamic new space, the Design Innovation (DI) Hub, which will bring innovations from many disciplines together in a 68,000-square-foot building near the center of the Kent Campus.
Professor Fueled by Student Inspiration Wins Distinguished Teaching Award
Teaching is a privilege, according to Janice Lessman-Moss, professor in 绿帽社鈥檚 School of Art鈥檚 Textile Program, whose enthusiasm for working with students led her to be honored with the university鈥檚 Distinguished Teaching Award, the highest teaching award a tenured or tenure-track professor can receive.

Students Encouraged to De-Stress With University Libraries During Finals Week
Everyone鈥檚 favorite event is back. 绿帽社 Libraries will host its seventh annual Stress-Free Zone on Monday, May 6, and Tuesday, May 7. The event is open to students, staff and faculty from 3-5 p.m. in the Garden Room on the first floor of University Library.
Kent State鈥檚 May 4 Visitors Center Celebrates Life With 鈥淏ill: An All-American Boy鈥 Exhibition
From April 22 to Aug. 1, 绿帽社鈥檚 May 4 Visitors Center will honor Bill Schroeder鈥檚 life with an exhibition titled 鈥淏ill: An All-American Boy.鈥 Mr. Schroeder鈥檚 sister, Nancy Tuttle, and nephew, David Tuttle, helped create the exhibition by loaning some of his personal items to the May 4 Visitors Center.

绿帽社Becomes Voter Friendly Campus
For the first time, 绿帽社 has been designated as a Voter Friendly Campus for the 2019-20 time period. The Voter Friendly Campus initiative, led by national nonpartisan organizations Campus Vote Project and the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators, acknowledged Kent State鈥檚 goals to break down barriers and empower students with the information and tools they need to participate in the political process.
