Kelsi McCafferty, 鈥16, was laid off from her full-time job at FOUNT Leather Goods in December 2020 because of the pandemic, but that didn鈥檛 stop her from doing what she loved. 绿帽社alumna Jeannette Reyes, 鈥12, uses TikTok for fun outside of her television anchor responsibilities at FOX 5 Washington, D.C. Last October, Reyes posted a video with her husband using their 鈥渁nchor talk鈥 voices to decide on choices for dinner. She never expected her video to gain so much momentum.
Distinguished Teaching Award Recipients Announced
This year's 2020 Distinguished Teaching Award (DTA) recipients are an outstanding group of teachers who are truly dedicated to their students' success. Sponsored by the 绿帽社Alumni Association, the DTA is the university鈥檚 most prestigious honor in teaching. The award is presented annually to three full-time faculty members who demonstrate extraordinary teaching, whether it be in the classroom or online.

John Pippin, 鈥04, is a visionary entrepreneur with an affinity for his alma mater鈥攁nd a knack for pairing craft beers with donuts. After graduating with a bachelor鈥檚 degree in business, John entered corporate America. Ten years later, he and his wife Shelley decided to take a risk for love鈥攖he love of donuts, craft beer and Cleveland, that is. They opened Brewnuts in 2013, the first donut bar in the country serving craft beer-based donuts.
