ÂÌñÉç graduate student, Erin Burke and her research mentor, Dr. John Gunstad, recently published a paper in Surgery for Obesity and Related Disease showing rapid improvement in cognitive function follows bariatric surgery. Specifically, memory and other cognitive abilities improved just 1 month post-operatively. This research adds to our understanding of the link between obesity and Alzheimer's disease. Faculty and staff who manage university webpages have already made important progress improving the accessibility of web content, including reducing, replacing and remediating PDFs.
