2026 Post-Paddy's Cleanup Volunteers

On March 22, the day after 鈥淔ake Paddy鈥檚 Day,鈥 more than 90 绿帽社 student volunteers traveled through the neighborhoods of Kent cleaning up litter left behind after the celebration, along with any other trash they found.  Individual students as well as members of student organizations participated in the cleanup. Every month the 绿帽社 Office of Global Education puts on a Cultural Cafe, where students and staff can come and try sample dishes from the culture being presented.March鈥檚 Cultural Cafe featured students from Rwanda presenting on their country鈥檚 history, including the Tutsi genocide and President Paul Kagame, who has been in office since April of 2000 and is often credited with leading post-genocide recovery.
