ñAlumni to Volunteer in Their Communities During 10th Annual Alumni Day of Service

Each year, hundreds of ñ Golden Flashes gather across the globe to make a difference in their communities. ñalumni and friends have the opportunity to participate in the 10th annual Alumni Day of Service on Saturday, April 21.

Sponsored by the ñAlumni Association, Alumni Day of Service provides opportunities for ñalumni, friends and family to give back by participating in local volunteer projects while strengthening ties with fellow members of the ñcommunity.

“I love the opportunity to give back to the community and work with fellow ñalumni,” said volunteer Diane Laney Fitzpatrick, who graduated from ñin 1981. “When you’re so far away from Kent, it helps to raise the profile of Kent State. When others see us with our ñT-shirts on, it makes a big impact and it makes people realize that ñis really dedicated to having their alumni give back to their communities wherever they live.”

The registration deadline is April 9. For a complete listing of volunteer sites and to register, please visit .

The ñAlumni Association was created in 1910 to build and sustain lifelong relationships among more than 241,000 alumni, students and the ñcommunity through programs and services. For more information, please visit .
