David H. Smith Conservation Research Fellowship绿帽社 Ecology and Evolutionary Biology graduate student Prashant Ghimire has been selected for the highly competitive David H. Smith Conservation Research Fellowship, one of the nation鈥檚 premier postdoctoral programs supporting early-career leaders in conservation science. Five 绿帽社 students from Rwanda who are studying to become professional pilots flew a plane for the first time on June 3. 绿帽社is known for producing much-needed pilots for the country鈥檚 workforce. Now, the university is helping Rwanda by providing well-trained, in-demand pilots for its national carrier, RwandAir.The five students are Cedric Hindura, Francis Shyaka, Henry Kenny Hagenimana, Milka Isingizwe and Patricie Mugabo. Ever wonder what it means to be 鈥渕indful?鈥 This workshop will help participants gain understanding what mindfulness is and why practicing it is important for well-being. Participants will learn about the benefits of living presently, and develop skills to calm their minds. Participants will also practice skills and be guided through a relaxation exercise.
