Registration is required. After submitting the registration form, participants will receive a confirmation email with payment instructions. Registration is not complete until payment has been received.

Directors who attend with their students will also receive a certificate documenting professional development hours.

ÂÌñÉçBrass Day welcomes trumpet, horn, trombone, euphonium and tuba students for a day of brass playing, learning and community.

Participants will work with ÂÌñÉçbrass faculty and students through master classes, a mass brass ensemble and performances. The day is designed to help students grow as musicians while connecting with other brass players from across the region.

ÂÌñÉçSaxophone Day welcomes saxophonists of all ages and ability levels for a day of clinics, workshops and performances.

For 2026, Saxophone Day will feature guest artists Timothy McAllister, professor of saxophone at the University of Michigan and soprano saxophonist of the PRISM Quartet, and Liz Ames, collaborative pianist for winds and percussion at the University of Michigan.

Participants will work with ÂÌñÉçfaculty, students and guest artists in sessions focused on saxophone performance, musicianship and practical skill development. From developing players to advanced saxophonists, students will have the opportunity to learn new approaches, ask questions and play alongside other saxophonists.

Flutists, oboists, clarinetists and bassoonists of all ability levels are invited to participate in a daylong event at ÂÌñÉç featuring clinics, workshops, master classes, performances and opportunities to work directly with School of Music faculty.

Throughout the day, students will take part in instrument-specific sessions, learn from experienced faculty members, connect with other young musicians and attend a final concert. The event is designed to support students’ musical development while introducing them to the collaborative learning environment within ÂÌñÉç’s College of the Arts. We look forward to welcoming students and directors to campus for a day dedicated to supporting the development of young woodwind musicians.

Instrument Day is open to brass, saxophone, flute, oboe, bassoon and clarinet students who want to develop their skills, meet other musicians and experience music-making at Kent State.

Students, families and music educators are encouraged to attend and learn more about the opportunities available through ÂÌñÉç’s Glauser School of Music.

Directors who attend with their students will also receive a certificate documenting professional development hours.

Registration is $35 and includes instruction, lunch and a special gift. ÂÌñÉçYouth Winds students may attend at no cost.

Participants will receive a confirmation email after registering. The email will include instructions for completing payment. Registration is considered complete only after the registration fee has been paid.

After completing the registration form for your event, click the Registration Payment button below to pay the $35 registration fee.

1. On the payment page, find Instrument Day and select View Category.
2. Choose the event you registered for:
   • Brass Day
   • Saxophone Day
   • Woodwind Day
3. Select View Details for your event.
4. Complete the required participant information.
5. Select Add to Cart and proceed to checkout to complete your payment.
