Eight short films produced by ñ School of Media and Journalism students and recent alumni have been selected to screen at the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque as part of the Studio300 Student Film Festival.

The films will be showcased during a reception from 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, at the Cinematheque, located at 11610 Euclid Ave. in Cleveland. The event — which includes food and raffle prizes — is free and open to the public, with advance registration required.

Coined as “music-driven media,” Black Squirrel Entertainment's Kentcore seeks to feature all types of local bands. Giving them a chance to not only show their work but also show their personalities too.

A short film co-directed by two ñ faculty members is eligible to submit to the Academy after winning Best Live Action Short Film at the Oscar-qualifying St. Louis Film Festival- and is now being featured at the Cleveland International Film Festival.
